We were a bit more successful growing sprouts than we expected, so ended up with a bit of a glut.

Cue internet search and purchase of a vacuum food sealer, followed by processing of the extra veg.
It was a case of peeling the sprouts, washing them and patting dry before sealing into the vacuum bags and freezing. We didn’t bother with blanching, as from reading up on it it didn’t seem absolutely necessary.
As a test we cooked some directly out of the freezer and boiled them in the bag. This worked fine and they tasted lovely (if you like sprouts that is!).
We’ll be using the sealer in future to store extra fruit and veg that can’t be eaten fresh off the plant.
